Helping The Leprosy Mission Great Britain to own their digital destiny
How we supported The Leprosy Mission GB to create and own a sustainable website to support digital work for years to come
The Leprosy Mission GB works in ten countries across Africa and Asia with a mission to eradicate leprosy. As part of a Global Fellowship, they support people living with leprosy today and aim to serve future generations by working to end the transmission of the disease.
The Developer Society worked with TLM GB to reimagine, redefine, and rebuild their digital presence from the ground up. The design and build of both the public facing site, and the back office content management and editing functionality were approached using agile methodology - starting with the smallest thing and scaling as we tested and learned.
As a web agency who work exclusively with nonprofits, we recognise the importance of working as true partners to ensure that what we build can be maintained by our charity partners. This was of particular importance for TLM GB, who needed to ensure that their site was sustainable within their funding.
Using the open source Content Management System (CMS), Wagtail, we developed a robust tech stack to ensure the longevity of the site. By working closely with the team at TLM GB, we were able to help them to develop a flexible and highly functional digital and creative strategy that will support their website and branding for years to come.
From the very beginning of our website project DEV worked hard to support us every step of the way. They were responsive and communicated well so we were always clear about expectations and everyone is extremely pleased with the new site.
