Mentor extraordinaire

Technology should let us fly - not keep us in chains.

Daniel's a nerd - no one's denying that. But working in tech wasn't his original intention. Throughout his career volunteering and working around the world with various charities, he kept on finding situations where creative passionate people were being held back by systems that frustrated them, rather than empowered.

And - he's kinda good with techy stuff, so thought he'd fight back.

One thing led to another, and one experience built on the next, until, somewhat by surprise, he realised it could be done.

I didn't mean to work in tech, it just sort of happened.

With over a decade's experience leading teams and building bespoke systems for charities, including media management, theatre audio visual systems, warehouse organisation, multilingual websites, 3D visualisation, water tank level analysis, and more random projects than you can shake a stick at, Daniel loves helping people soar.

Whether by 1-on-1 coaching, leading tech teams, facilitating training sessions, creating videos, pair-programming, or just having a coffee together and being a listening ear, Daniel's enthusiasm for what makes people tick, along with his deep understanding of the technologies and systems we rely on gives him a really solid basis for finding a good path that can balance where you are now, with the dreams and places you want to go.

Dan's favourite revolutionary

MLK is famous for what he achieved - but have you actually read what he wrote?

"When I started reading Martin Luther King Jr's letters, his speeches, biographies of him, I was blown away. He wasn't just a shouty activist, nor trite sign-waving protester - but an incredibly thoughtful, articulate and passionate communicator. I'm inspired by the way he reacted to the injustice in the world not with violence, but by showing a higher path, and reaching out to those on the "wrong side" to entreat them to join him in his path, rather than condemning and demonising, as so many do today."
